R&G Paddock Stand Bobbins, or R&G Cotton Reels as they are so often referred to as, are designed to fit the Yamaha YZF1000R Thunderace. This pair of bobbins are an ideal compromise as no centre stand is fitted. The bobbins screw directly in to the existing threads on the back of the swinging arm allowing a fork type rear paddock stand yo be used to lift the rear of the motorcycle off the ground easily and safely.
This RG Bobbins for Yamaha YZF1000 R Thunderace Motorcycles kit also offers some limited motorcycle crash protection, especially for the swinging arm, by having these two additional and to some degree sacrificial points of contact in a fall.
