Description
This Givi BF24 Tanklock Fitting Kit Yamaha XSR700 2016 on is designed to accept a variety of Givi tanklock bags. Due to the unusual shape of the petrol tank cap and the close fitting of the fuel cap to the headstock and handlebars this Givi BF24 is rather unique in that the flange doesn’t fit on to the fuel cap surround. A support, which is included, allows the tank lock fitting to fit further down the fuel tank so that a suitable Tank Lock Tank Bag can be fitted more centrally. Once fitted this Tanklock fitting will enable a Givi Tanklock Tankbag to sit slightly proud of the fuel tank, preventing marking or scratching, and to give easy access to the locking mechanism release button, which is fitted to the underside of every Givi Tanklock Tank bag. All the necessary replacement fuel cap bolts, fittings, instructions and the mounting flange are included with the exception of the ring, Givi ZT480F 2R Motorcycle Tank Lock Flange Ring, which is included with a Givi Tanklock Tank bag or as a separate item. As this System is designed to be locked on to a plastic or metal motorcycle fuel tank it negates the need for heavy magnets and multiple retaining straps, as fitted to more traditional tank bag systems, making it easier and lighter to carry.
Please note that this Givi BF24 fitting kit is not compatible with curved base tank bags, e.g. not the Givi XS308, Givi 3D604 or the Givi ST603.
